Senior Pastor Dr Josh Lilly

Hi! I’m Pastor Josh, and I’m married to my best friend, Sarah. We met in college and were married in December 2006. We are blessed with three wonderful children: Micah, Zachary, and Hannah. I’m passionate about preaching the gospel, making disciples, and developing leaders. Pastoring is the greatest job in the world, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help others know and love Jesus.

The Lord called me to ministry during my college years, I earned a bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX, and later completed a Master’s degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. Ten years after seminary, God led me to pursue a Doctoral degree, which I earned at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, in December 2022.

I’m just a guy who loves Jesus and loves helping others grow in their faith. I count it a joy to serve our church and community, sharing the gospel and pointing people to Christ.

My name is Brian, and I have been blessed to be married to my beautiful wife, Kate, for nearly 40 years. We started dating right after high school and, after a brief separation, were married in 1987. Together, we have two wonderful children, Kegan and Tori, who have brought so much joy to our lives.

After serving four years in the Army as a cook—stationed in Hawaii, of all places—I pursued my passion for cooking by earning a Culinary Degree in Baltimore. I was living my dream until our son was born, which shifted my perspective and taught me there are more important things than my own desires. I left the culinary world to join the family painting business, working alongside my father for 15 years. When he retired in 2005, I took over the business and have been running it ever since.

Now, as the first Pastoral Intern at Crossroads, I am both excited and a little terrified to step into this new role. However, I find peace and strength in knowing that as long as I submit to the Lord, His plan for my life is for my good and His glory. It’s a privilege to serve in this capacity, trusting God to guide me every step of the way.

Women’s Ministry director

Robyn Staebler

Hi, I’m Robyn! I married my high school sweetheart 30+ years ago, and we have lived in the area all our lives. We have 2 grown married children and 1 sweet grandson.

I’m just a regular girl who made the best decision, to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior.  He has changed my life!  I’ve worked with people in many different capacities, so when God opened the door for me to lead the Women’s Ministry, I was very humbled and excited! I find great joy walking alongside women on the mountaintops and in the valleys encouraging them in their own walk with the Lord.

As the Chelsea campus coordinator, I’m excited to welcome and connect with people in the community through God’s word.

Worship Director

Wendy Frye-Henderson

God has given me a deep love for music, art, and nature, drawing me closer to Him through these gifts. I’ve been serving in worship for over 35 years, starting with singing harmony as a child and later joining a trio at 16 to record an album and share music in churches. After college and personal struggles, God brought my husband, Mike, into my life. He has encouraged me to follow God’s call, bringing music and hope to places others might not go.

Mike and I have two daughters, Ember and India, and a son-in-law, whom we pray will come to know the Lord. We also own a sound production company and spend summers running festivals. For 17 years, I’ve taught music lessons from home, helping others grow their talents. I’m thankful for God’s blessings and strive to use my gifts to glorify Him through worship and service.

Though I was shy about performing as a child, I’ve learned worship is about pointing others to God. I pray my music is a pleasing sacrifice of praise, given in obedience and bringing glory to Him.

Hello! My name is Emma and I am the Director of Operations. I am married to Andrew and we moved to the Stockbridge area in the fall of 2020. We are originally from Indiana but have come to appreciate life in Michigan. I grew up in a godly family that was driven by faith and love.

I first discovered my love for ministry while serving in Cru during college. This allowed me to daily invest in the lives of others and share the great news of the Gospel. It was this experience that truly opened my eyes to the importance of godly community and discipleship.  I am excited to serve the Lord and the people of Crossroads Community Church! God is good.

John Burke Crossroads Community Church Michigan

My goal is to equip our youth leaders to help students build a strong biblical foundation as they grow into mature Christian men and women. I focus on four key areas for middle and high school students: grounding them in the gospel of Jesus Christ, providing discipleship through faithful parents and leaders, teaching them to apply scripture to life, and creating opportunities for fun and fellowship as they grow in faith together.

I’ve been married to my amazing wife, Tabetha, since 2011, and we are blessed with five wonderful boys: Marcell, Jaiden, Josiah, Grayson, and Gibson. As first-generation Christians, we are thrilled to raise a second generation in God’s kingdom and to see His grace at work in our family’s life.

In addition to serving as the director of Student Ministry, I own a fence construction business and a small family farm. When I’m not working or ministering, I enjoy chess, shooting, backpacking, and playing board games with my family.

Children’s Ministry director

Sarah Meier

Hello! My name is Sarah Meier (Poszywak), and I am blessed to serve as Crossroads’ Children’s Minister. I accepted Christ as my Savior in elementary school and grew in faith at home and church. After moving to Stockbridge in 2001, I began attending Crossroads (then First Baptist Church of Stockbridge) and was baptized in 2003. I studied Fine Arts at EMU while working at the EMU Children’s Institute and later married my husband, Dustin, in 2009. During his Marine Corps service in North Carolina, I served as a youth leader and teacher before we returned to Michigan in 2014.

Back in Michigan, we rejoined Crossroads, and I worked at Morning Star Childcare for seven years while earning an Associate’s degree in Child Development. I became Children’s Minister in 2021 and am passionate about helping children grow in faith. I believe children thrive in a safe, loving environment where they feel treasured by Christ, as Psalm 127:3 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.”

My goal is to lead a team that helps children build a foundation in God’s Word and experience His love. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” I look forward to partnering with families to nurture and guide the next generation in faith.

Teen Center Director

Bonnie Davidson

I’ve always had a passion for working with teens and have spent decades doing just that! Having been part of Crossroads since I was 11 years old, I’ve had the privilege of serving in many roles and investing in the next generation. I deeply value what young people bring to the church and consider it a blessing to build relationships with them and positively impact their lives.

My husband, Johnny, is my best friend and greatest cheerleader. He loves the Lord and is my strongest support, always encouraging me in ministry. We share a love for outdoor sports and activities, but our favorite pastime is spending time with our five adult children, their spouses, and our nine grandchildren—laughing, sharing life, and enjoying each other’s company.

Elder

Mike Beverly

It is an honor to serve as one of the elders at Crossroads Community Church.  I grew up in Trenton, MI, spent ten years in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the University of Michigan Hospital.  My wife Carol and I were married in 2005.  We have attended Crossroads Church since 2014.  In 2015 I gave my life to Christ.  Since that day, through the work of the Holy Spirit, I and thus my life has changed.  I strive to serve God and to help guide others to Christ.

Elder

Dirk Anderson

I am excited to be one of the elders at Crossroads. If you have any questions or would like to know about the history of the church, I am your guy!

Elder

Scott Alley

My name is Scott Alley, and I am blessed to be married to my wonderful wife, Erika. We were married in July 1998 and have three amazing children: Evan, 13, and twins Ben and Evelyn, 11. Our family has been attending Crossroads Community Church for 11 years, and it has been a joy to be part of this church community.

I am honored to serve in several capacities at Crossroads, including as an Elder, on the Safety Team, and with Impact Youth Group. I have been a follower of Christ since I was 10 years old, but I rededicated my life to Him at the age of 21. Before settling in Stockbridge, we lived in San Antonio, Texas, and later moved back to Michigan for a job at Dart as an Engineer. My career has primarily been in the manufacturing field, but my passion lies in serving others and helping them wherever they are in life.

In every area of service, I am grateful for the opportunity to care for and encourage others. My prayer is that we all live out Ephesians 4:32: “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” I have a heart for people and strive to reflect Christ’s love in everything I do.

Elder

Phil Walker

I am a husband to my amazing wife, striving daily to love her as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). As a dedicated father, I do my best to raise my children in the ways of the Lord. I love Jesus and enjoy sharing my testimony of how God brought me from death to life through surrendering my life to Him. I began following Christ in 2012 when I was baptized at the church where my wife and I were married. We were members there until we joined Crossroads Community Church.

In 2019, my family and I moved to Stockbridge and began attending Crossroads, where I immediately found joy in serving as a youth leader. I joined a discipleship group and eventually started leading one. Helping others and guiding them toward a better path has always brought me fulfillment, and God used that passion to lead me into the Pond, a leadership training program at Crossroads for raising up elders.

After two years in the Pond, I felt a clear calling from the Lord to serve as an elder. God placed it on my heart to lead, teach, protect, and care for His people in this new season of my life. It is a privilege and joy to serve our church family and to walk alongside others as we grow in faith and follow Christ together.
